How To Apply for A School Place in St Kieran’s College

If you are interested in applying for a place in St Kieran’s College for your son, we would first advise that you view our  St Kieran’s College Prospectus  and then carefully read all of the information below:

Admissions Policy

Please read the St Kieran’s College Admission Policy. Our admissions policy outlines how the admission procedure works for our school. It was formulated and ratified by our Board of Management, following consultation with our Parents’ Association, Student Council and Teaching Staff. It has been approved by our then Patron, Most Reverend Denis Nulty, Apolostic Administrator for the Diocese of Ossory. It is reviewed by the Board of Management on an annual basis, most recently on August 19th, 2024.

Open Night & Mailing List for Open Night 2026 (For First Year Enrolment 2027-2028)

  • Each year, the school holds an Open Night (usually in September) for prospective students (Sixth Class Only) and their parents in the College grounds.
  • Our Open Night consists of a short presentation for parents and prospective students in the Sports Hall which was followed by guided tours of the school.
  • Please add your name to the mailing list (see link below) in order to register your interest in attending our Open Night. Our next Open Night, for Sixth Class pupils 2026-2027, will take place in September 2026
  • In advance of our Open Night, you will receive an invite via email inviting you to attend at a designated time.
  • To be included on our mailing list, please click on the following link and submit the relevant form: I would like to be included on the Mailing List for the Open Night 2026
  • Please note that it is not possible to register for any other Open Night at this time. Registration for mailing lists for all subsequent Open Nights (eg 2027 / 2028 etc) will only be made available on this webpage closer to the relevant dates.

Important: Please note that being added to our mailing list for the Open Night has no bearing whatsoever on the enrolment process. It simply means that you will receive information about our Open Night if your son is in Sixth Class that year.
