Vocations Team Mission Statement: To create an environment in order to promote, identify, and assist individuals in discerning their baptismal call to holiness, as is lived out, through the vocation of the priesthood, diaconate, religious (brothers and sisters), married and single life. To support the clergy and religious through prayer and inspire the diocesan community in fulfilling its mission to foster vocations to the priesthood in the Diocese of Ossory.

The vocations team seeks to promote and foster vocations to the Priesthood in the Diocese of Ossory. It seeks to achieve this aim through:

  • Primary and Secondary School Programmes
  • Discernment group meetings
  • The Discernment group meets on the first Saturday of each month. Further details from Fr. Willie Purcell 0876286858
  • Accompaniment and formation programmes
  • Parish programmes and workshops
  • Spiritual formation and direction
  • Special liturgical celebrations
  • Music and drama workshops for schools and youth groups
