You have hopefully had a great Transition Year but now the two year cycle of the Leaving Cert is in front of you. What is the biggest problem facing a Fifth Year? It could take anything up to six weeks to get up to speed. Sometimes the brain needs a wake up call. Early Fifth Year can be so difficult that some students end up dropping to lower level. We will have 10 hours of contact time with some of the best maths teachers in the country as supported by Revise.ie. We will swap around teachers and have activities to keep the whole experience enjoyable and educational.
SIXTH YEARS – HIT THE GROUND RUNNING! – – Monday 12th – Friday 16th August : 2.00pm-4.00pm : €100
Start early and start as you mean to go on. The maths course at Leaving Cert is huge. The key to doing well is going over the concepts again and again. Seeing new questions done in different ways by different teachers. We are going to do just that. We will take Trigonometry which can be so difficult to deal with and we will look at solving questions in the class but then in the true spirit of the new maths course we will go around the school and environs and see how we can use Trigonometry to solve practical problems.
